More than twenty years ago, we began restoring the ancient Bulgarian variety Red Misket in order to preserve it. A little later, we discovered a new selected Bulgarian variety, Evmolpiya, which, according to experts, would thrive in our conditions. We planted 80 decares of Evmolpiya and now have two Bulgarian varieties - one for the production of white wines and the other for red wines. The fruits from our vineyards have been preferred by Bulgarian winemakers for many years. During these years, the team has been joined by excellent winegrowers—people who are dedicated to their craftwork and know the plants like their own children. With this wealth of expertise and vineyards behind him, Todor Oprev, owner and agronomist by profession, was inspired to close the production cycle and build a winery.
The idea was embraced and applauded by his colleagues and like-minded people, who lent a hand, and before long, the idea became a reality. That same year (2006), the first harvest was realized thanks to the tremendous desire, professionalism, and enthusiasm of Stelian Ruskov (technologist), Ilian Alexiev (assistant technologist), Elza Yorgova (laboratory assistant), and the rest of the team.
The exceptional location of the vineyards, the soil, and the climate are ideal conditions for growing the Traminer variety, which thrives in only a few areas of the country. This is why this variety is included in our selection. Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay are the other two varieties we plant as popular classics, which have the potential to develop with excellent results in these areas under the specific climatic conditions of the Danube Plain.
Our goal is to reveal the richness and diversity of the selected varieties by improving wine production techniques and technologies.

Oprev Winery - Wine from Dobrudzha
Guided by the idea that Bulgarian grape varieties have potential for development and can occupy a worthy place in both local and foreign markets, the winery's vineyards grow the traditional Bulgarian variety Red Muscat and the new variety Evmolpia.
Foreign varieties include the elite white varieties Traminer and Chardonnay, and the popular red variety Cabernet Sauvignon.

Oprev Winery is a family-run winery where you will be warmly welcomed by its hosts.
The owner, Mr. Oprev, will share his knowledge of wine with you and will invariably inspire you with his sincere patriotism and attachment to the Bulgarian land and Dobrudzha.
The winery is located in the Dobrudzha village of Dobrotitsa, 36 km from the town of Silistra. It has earned a reputation in the region for its pure varietal wines and consistently high quality.
The winery team shares the idea that the quality of wine begins in the vineyards. It reflects the unique characteristics of the terroir, the selection of varieties, and the attitude towards nature.
Caring for the vineyards, grapes, and soil, as well as using good agricultural practices in viticulture, are an integral part of the entire production process.

It is a modern production facility with a completely closed production cycle—from the grape to of wine bottle.
The Oprev Winery was established in 2006 and is a natural extension of one of the activities of its owner, Todor Oprev – viticulture.
The company's strategy is for its own vineyards to provide the grapes needed for processing, in order to guarantee quality and environmental friendliness from the raw material to the finished product.
Another focus of the company's strategy is control over production techniques and control during the production process. It is equipped with a laboratory that is responsible for the quality of the processes and the high standard of the wines. It has production lines for bottling glass bottles and a filling machine for Bag in Box.
